In response to the devastating earthquake experienced in China, Bacardi Limited, through its China subsidiary, donated US$100,000 to the Red Cross Society of China to support its earthquake relief efforts.
“We are deeply saddened by this tragedy. This disaster requires help from organizations and individuals from around the world, and to that end we are supporting one of the main relief agencies in China,” said Harold Dyrvik, regional president, Bacardi Asia Pacific. “Bacardi has a long tradition of giving back to the communities where we live and work, especially when financial assistance and aid is most urgently needed.”
Regionally, Bacardi also helped facilitate individual employee donations in addition to the Company contribution as the devastation has taken the lives of many thousands and left even more homeless or injured.
