Bacardi Limited elects new Directors to Board

Hamilton, Bermuda, July 22, 2010 — Facundo L. Bacardi, chairman of the board of directors of Bacardi Limited, the largest privately held spirits company in the world, announced two new directors have been elected to serve on the Company’s 16-member board of directors.
The newly elected directors are Francisco V. Carrera-Justiz and Theodore C. Walker. They were elected to the board at the Company’s annual general meeting on July 8, 2010, in Hamilton, Bermuda.
“These two highly accomplished individuals bring vast experience in the international business management, finance and investment banking industries to the Bacardi Limited board of directors,” said Mr. Bacardi. “These appointments continue to reflect the Company’s strong commitment to good corporate governance and will be beneficial to Bacardi as we continue to extend our leadership position within the spirits industry.”
Francisco V. Carrera-Justiz, 43, served on the board of directors of Bacardi Limited as an alternate director from 2002-2003. He is a director of Private Banking at Credit Suisse Securities (USA) LLC, prior to which he was vice president, Private Banking from 1999 to 2006. From 1990-1999 he worked at JP Morgan Chase N.A. in New York, Geneva and Miami and was vice president International Private Bank from 1994-1999. Mr. Carrera-Justiz attended Tulane University where he received a B.Sc. in Management with a concentration in Finance. He lives in Miami, Florida.
Theodore “Tad” C. Walker, 49, served on the board of directors of Bacardi Limited as an alternate director in 2002 and 2003. He has 25 years experience in the reinsurance and insurance industry. He is president and chief executive officer of PartnerRe U.S. and is a member of the PartnerRe executive committee. Mr. Walker has been with PartnerRe since 2002. Mr. Walker worked for Bacardi International Limited for ten years, first as risk manager and then managing insurance investments. Mr. Walker holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service. He lives in Greenwich, Connecticut.
