Bacardi Limited elects new Directors to Board

Hamilton, Bermuda, July 13, 2009 — Facundo L. Bacardi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Bacardi Limited, the largest privately held spirits company in the world, today announced two new directors have been elected to serve on the Company’s board of directors.

Jay McDowell and Guy Peyrelongue are retiring from the board after distinguished periods of service to the Company and its shareholders. “We are thankful to have had Jay McDowell and Guy Peyrelongue serve as directors on our board. Their commitment and meaningful contributions helped to support transformative change during their tenures,” said Mr. Bacardi.

The newly elected directors are Michael J. Dolan and John S. Galantic. They were elected to the board at the Company’s annual general meeting on July 9, 2009, in Hamilton, Bermuda.

Michael J. Dolan, 62, retired as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Viacom, Inc. in December 2006, a position he held for two years, starting in May 2004. Mr. Dolan currently serves on the board of directors of Mattel, Inc., the worldwide leader in the design, manufacture and marketing of toys and family products, and on the board of America’s Choice, a not for profit that provides solutions for educational organizations. Previously, Mr. Dolan held a variety of executive roles, as partner with Booz, Allen & Hamilton from 1979-1987; group executive with Peter Kiewit & Sons from 1987-1991; senior executive roles at PepsiCo, Inc. from 1991-1996; various roles with Young & Rubicam (Y&R) between 1996-2003, where he served as Chairman and CEO from 2000-2003.

John S. Galantic, 47, is President, U.S. and Chief Operating Officer of Chanel, Inc., global leader in luxury goods, a role he assumed in November 2006. Mr. Galantic was previously President of Coty Beauty U.S. at Coty, Inc. from 2001-2006. From 1999-2001, he was President and COO of KeraVision, Inc., a developer of vision correction products. From 1996-1999, Mr. Galantic was country general manager of Consumer Healthcare for SmithKline Beecham PLC in Brussels and in London and director of Category Management, Consumer Healthcare from 1994-1996. Previously, Mr. Galantic held various international roles at Procter & Gamble, including European brand manager in London and brand manager Skin Care in Rome. Mr. Galantic serves on the board of Zoom Media, a privately owned company specializing in digital billboard advertising.
