May 28, 2016
The BACARDÍ rum brand visitor center and distillery in Puerto Rico honored by TripAdvisor
Cataño, Puerto Rico, May 28, 2015 – The state-of-the-art Casa BACARDÍ Visitor Center has been awarded a “Certificate of Excellence” by TripAdvisor, the social network to hotels, most outstanding restaurants and attractions worldwide. The accolade positions Casa BACARDÍ in a privileged place since the award given is a direct result of the continuing positive reviews visitors submit to the TripAdvisor website. With this, Casa BACARDÍ stands as one of the most important tourist attractions in Puerto Rico and the Caribbean, drawing more than 250,000 visitors a year to learn about the rich history of the Bacardí family and brand, as well as its unique production process.
“We are thrilled to have received this important recognition since the visitors themselves are the ones giving it to us,” said William Ramos, Senior Brand Ambassador of Casa BACARDÍ, located at the largest premium rum distillery in the world. “Everyday we strive to provide a unique and unforgettable experience for hundreds of visitors, both local and international, who come to our distillery and brand home. Knowing that our efforts are yielding positive results confirms that the recent changes we’ve made at Casa BACARDÍ are resonating with consumers.”
The accolades, which celebrated its fifth edition, celebrate the hotels, restaurants and best attractions outlined by the public at TripAdvisor. To determine who receive the “Certificate of Excellence,” the website considers various factors including review ratings, overall rating and quantity and timeliness of reviews. Furthermore, the winners of the certificate must maintain an overall rating on TripAdvisor of at least four out of five, have a minimum number of opinions and be listed on TripAdvisor for at least twelve consecutive months.
Moreover, Casa BACARDÍ recently began a new chapter in its history with the renovation of the distillery and the introduction of new attractions. The improvements give the public an opportunity to meet new, and oftentimes unknown, facets of BACARDÍ rum, the Bacardí family and company. Standing out as the second most visited tourist destination in metro San Juan, Casa BACARDÍ is developing new attractions like Georgina, a gastronomic restaurant that will highlight the culinary aspects of the local cuisine, using BACARDÍ rum as a special ingredient in some of the dishes. About BACARDÍ Rums
In 1862, Bacardi revolutionized the spirits industry when founder Don Facundo Bacardí Massó began producing his remarkable light-bodied, smooth rum. The unique taste of BACARDÍ inspired cocktail pioneers to invent some of the world’s most famous drink recipes including the Mojito, the Daiquirí, the Cuba Libre, the Piña Colada, and the Presidente. BACARDÍ Superior rum has won more than 550 awards for quality and taste making it the world’s most awarded rum. Today, BACARDÍ is produced in Puerto Rico, following the production legacy set forth by Don Facundo Bacardi Massó – crafted in a five-step distillation process, mellowed in American white oak barrels, and filtered five times for unparalleled quality and smoothness. http://www.bacardi.com
