Coral Gables, Fla., August 8, 2016 – The inaugural S.H.E Bacardi Women’s Summit will convene thought provoking speakers and hundreds of women (and men) to unleash female potential to rise their holistic leadership potential, while lifting others in the process. In collaboration with S.H.E. Summit, a globally-celebrated women’s empowerment conference, inspirational speakers and corporate leaders will convene in South Florida to celebrate female empowerment at the first ever Bacardi women’s conference on September 29 at the Hilton Miami Downtown.

Aimed at celebrating, convening, and cultivating prospects and rising top talent in South Florida, the S.H.E. Bacardi Women’s Summit will feature a prestigious list of dynamic speakers with incredible personal and professional stories. Informative workshops, thought-provoking panel discussions and keynotes will cover everything from finding your purpose and passion to leadership and intrapreneurship to motherhood and well-being.

“I am a true believer in not just taking what you get, but creating what you want. My advice to women is to define who you are, your priorities, goals, and more importantly why you want to achieve them,” says Marlene Gordon, general counsel for Bacardi in North America and global lead for the Bacardi Women in Leadership initiative. “Having this clarity is what lets you fight for ideas and yourself. The S.H.E Bacardi Women’s Summit will help tie all of these together to empower women to do more than they thought they could achieve.”

The event will commence with an opening from Claudia Chan and Marlene Gordon, followed by a keynote on passion and purpose by storytelling expert, speaker and coach Andy Henriquez. Learn and be inspired by corporate panelists such as Bacardi President for North America Pete Carr, CEO for Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits Wayne Chaplin, Bacardi Limited board member Lisanne Dorion, Bacardi Vice President of Indirect Procurement Paula Glickenhaus, empowerment and business expert Jen Groover, Morgan Stanley vice president turned founder of I.AM.You Studio Lauren Imparato, Ryder’s Vice President of Global Product Insurance & Risk Management Amy Wagner on motherhood, and leading parenting expert Simon Isaacs from Father.ly.

“At S.H.E. Summit, we believe corporations are a massive vehicle for change in today’s women’s (or gender equality) movement – both for the internal talent they employ to the external people their products, services and campaigns touch,” says Claudia Chan, S.H.E. Summit founder & chief. “We are proud to work closely with Bacardi to bring the S.H.E. (she and he help empower) experience to South Florida to strengthen our collective social impact.”

Join more than 400 professionals representing Bacardi, partner corporations and firms across various industries including marketing, transportation, law, consulting, and more. The event will conclude with a networking cocktail reception sponsored by Bacardi.
