Our Global Standards on Responsible Sourcing are based on the Ethical Trading Initiative (ETI) Base Code, an alliance of companies, non-governmental organizations and trade union organizations committed to working together to identify and promote good practice in the implementation of codes of labor practice, and key international standards including the International Labor Organization's (ILO) fundamental conventions on labor standards. Our standards encompass what we expect from our suppliers in terms of labor standards, human rights, environment, health, safety and legitimate business practices. They represent minimum standards and we encourage suppliers who seek to implement higher standards within their operations. Bacardi also applies these standards within its own operations. Each standard is supported by examples of the practices that would be expected in meeting that standard. These are available in a separate Code of Practice to all suppliers:

1. Employment is freely chosen.
2. Freedom of association and the right to collective bargaining are respected.
3. Working conditions are safe and hygienic.
4. Child labor shall not be used.
5. Living wages are paid.
6. Working hours are not excessive.
7. No discrimination is practiced.
8. Regular employment is provided.
9. No harsh or inhumane treatment is allowed.
10. Protection of the environment is part of business practice.
11. Bribery and corruption are not part of business practices.
