To ensure conformance with the Global Standards, Codes of Practice define the required performance elements and operational controls.

Our operating facilities globally have assessed their performance compared to the Codes, and are implementing action plans to assure conformity. It is our intention that facilities will be compliant with the Codes, or have plans in place to achieve full compliance, by the end of the current fiscal year (March 2008).

Implementation will be supported by the EHS Steering Group, including a system of cross-audits to provide independent progress assessment. These cross-audits will also facilitate information-sharing on EHS best practices.

In the coming 12 months we will begin to assess the performance of our suppliers across a broad set of metrics, including their EHS performance.
